3035 Messerschmitt Bf 109 F vol. II - Marek J. Murawski - ISBN 978-83-60445-26-6
The second volume of a monograph on the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 F fighter discusses its combat use in 1941-42. The first part of the book shows the operations of Bf 109 F-equipped Luftwaffe units over North Africa, the Mediterranean and Malta, where until the arrival of the Spitfires Mk.V the "Friedrichs" were unrivaled. The rest of the publication describes in detail the battles against Soviet aviation on the Eastern Front, from the astonishing successes in Operation Barbarossa to the summer offensive of 1942. There, too, the Bf 109 had a decisive technical advantage over enemy aircraft. The author also did not forget about operations beyond the Arctic Circle. He presented the fate of individual units and the pilots who fought in them.
