RESKIT RS48-0487 AIM-4 (A, B) "Falcon" missiles (4 pcs) (3D Printed) 1/48

RESKIT RS48-0487 AIM-4 (A, B) "Falcon" missiles (4 pcs) (3D Printed) 1/48 is a professional modeling accessories set representing four AIM-4 "Falcon" air-to-air missiles in versions A and B. This set has been developed for the most demanding aircraft modelers who value high fidelity and the finest details. It is dedicated to 1/48 scale aircraft models.

  • Scale: 1/48
  • Country of use: United States of America
  • Historical period: Cold War (1956 – 1980s)
  • Material: modern, high-quality 3D print, ensuring sharp, realistic details and no deformation typical of lower quality resin castings
  • Contents: the set includes four missiles (AIM-4A and AIM-4B), dedicated mounting adapters, and details that clearly distinguish the historical versions
  • Product category: modeling accessories, aircraft armament, 3D add-ons for plastic model kits

The AIM-4 "Falcon" missile was the first operational guided air-to-air missile adopted by the US Air Force. It entered service in 1956 and was widely used until the 1980s. Developed by Hughes, it equipped legendary American fighters such as the Northrop F-89H Scorpion, McDonnell F-101B/F Voodoo, and Convair F-102A Delta Dagger. AIM-4 missiles in versions A and B differed, among other things, in the type of guidance systems: version A featured wire-guided targeting, while version B used radar guidance, allowing them to be employed in the challenging combat conditions of the Cold War.

The ResKit RS48-0487 set allows for mounting four missiles, reproducing the finest details based on reference literature. 3D printed parts are resistant to deformation, feature smooth surfaces, and sharply rendered aerodynamic details lacking in standard plastic or low-quality resin accessories. It is the perfect choice for both historical modelers and those looking to enhance the authenticity of their competition models.

Assembly difficulty level is rated 2 out of 5 – suitable also for intermediate modelers.

We recommend this set to every aviation enthusiast who wants to faithfully recreate the armament of Cold War era aircraft! Precise 3D ResKit accessories are an investment in the highest quality and historical realism for your model collection.

Scale
1/48

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
