Dragon 6894 Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. G Apr - May 1943 Production 1/35 is a high-quality plastic model kit that faithfully replicates one of the key machines of the German armored forces from World War II. Precisely designed in 1/35 scale, it perfectly meets the needs of both advanced military modelers and intermediate hobbyists wishing to improve their skills in building realistic dioramas and collections of historical vehicles.

  • Scale: 1/35
  • Country of use: Germany
  • Historical period: World War II (production – April-May 1943)
  • Category: plastic model kit
  • Material: high-quality plastic, photo-etched details, clear plastic elements
  • Equipment: parts allowing the construction of a richly detailed model with many variants, including two gun barrel options and photo-etched parts (e.g., side armor mesh screens)
  • Contents: the kit does NOT include glue or paints – these must be purchased separately

Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. G, more widely known as the Panzer IV, was the main battle tank of the German army during World War II. Produced from mid-1942, the G version introduced a range of improvements that allowed it to compete effectively with Soviet T-34s and British Shermans. Key differences included reinforced frontal armor, the use of a longer 7.5 cm KwK 40 L/43 (later L/48) gun barrel, and the characteristic optional "Schürzen" side armor skirts, which effectively protected against anti-tank projectiles and HEAT grenades.

The Dragon 6894 model captures all the characteristic features of this exceptional production series – numerous armor surface details, faithfully recreated tools and equipment, precise suspension and track representation, as well as authentic frontline unit markings from mid-1943. The included photo-etched parts allow for a highly realistic effect, even in the smallest model details.

Build difficulty level: 4/5 – the model is recommended for intermediate and advanced modelers who appreciate detail, high-quality casting, and the potential for customization. It's an excellent choice both for Wehrmacht vehicle collections and for elaborate historical dioramas. The Dragon 6894 Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. G model is a must-have for any enthusiast of German armored vehicles and the history of World War II front lines.

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
