Eduard 84190 Tempest Mk.II Weekend edition 1/48 – Plastic model kit of a fighter aircraft for assembly

Eduard 84190 Tempest Mk.II Weekend edition 1/48 is a detailed plastic model aircraft kit designed for aviation modeling enthusiasts. The model replicates the legendary British fighter Hawker Tempest Mk.II in the popular 1/48 scale, allowing you to recreate the characteristic features of this aircraft with exceptional detail.

Historical Information

The Hawker Tempest Mk.II is an advanced version of the famous Tempest Mk.V – a fighter that formed the backbone of the British air force at the end of World War II and in the years just after the war. The Tempest Mk.II was equipped with a Bristol Centaurus radial engine, which improved the aircraft's reliability and performance, especially in the challenging conditions of Asia and the Pacific. It served primarily in the Royal Air Force as well as in the air forces of India and Pakistan during the postwar period, that is, in the late 1940s and early 1950s (period: end of World War II, beginning of the Cold War). Tempest Mk.II aircraft were used, among other things, during border conflicts that followed the collapse of the British Empire.

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
