Scale
1/72

What does the model scale mean?

The model scale designation, for example, 1:30, means that the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale determines the proportion, not the resolution or level of detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g., 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with a larger number (e.g., 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller—good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.

Designed for use in the 1/72 scale, it is an ideal choice for diorama enthusiasts, historical collections, and recreations of British vehicles from the final years of the war.

Historical Information and Application

The Cromwell Mk IV / VI tank was one of the main British tanks used during World War II. These tanks took part in numerous operations, from the Normandy landings in 1944 until the end of the war in Germany in 1945. Cromwells stood out for their excellent mobility and speed, serving as main battle tanks in British armored divisions, participating in operations such as Charnwood and the breakthrough of the Siegfried Line. The sets offered by Star Decals allow faithful reproduction of the original vehicle markings from this historical period – both from the battles in Normandy and later operations on the European continent.
