Panzer Art RE35-578 T1 “Rhino device” for US tanks pattern 4 1/35

The Panzer Art RE35-578 T1 “Rhino device” for US tanks pattern 4 in 1/35 scale is a high-quality model enhancement accessory designed for American tank models from World War II. Manufactured by the renowned Panzer Art company, it faithfully replicates the historical T1 "Rhino" device, which was mounted on selected armored vehicles of the United States.

The T1 "Rhino" was a specialized device created as a practical solution to problems encountered during the Normandy campaign in 1944. It consisted of a set of blades attached to the front parts of M4 Sherman tanks, designed to cut and break through Normandy’s bocage hedgerows that hindered the movement of Allied vehicles across French fields. Thanks to the "Rhino," Allied forces gained a significant tactical advantage by being able to breach terrain fortifications behind which enemy forces often hid. The Pattern 4 variant featured a specific blade arrangement, used especially from July 1944 until the end of the campaign in France and northern Germany.

  • Scale: 1/35
  • Historical period: World War II (Normandy campaign, 1944)
  • Nation of use: United States of America
  • Category: Model accessories, resin upgrade kit for assembly

This product is primarily intended for intermediate and advanced military modelers who wish to enhance their dioramas or collector’s specimens of Shermans and other US Army tanks from World War II with realistic historical details. Thanks to its precision, the Panzer Art RE35-578 allows for achieving an exceptional level of authenticity even in the most demanding modeling projects.

Assembly difficulty level: 3/5 – requires experience working with resin and precision during assembly and painting.

We highly recommend this set to all enthusiasts of US Army armored vehicles as well as those working on Normandy dioramas. Panzer Art RE35-578 is a highly recommended product, ensuring top-tier realism!

Scale
1/35

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
