IBG 35060 Polish Wz. 14/19 100mm Howitzer - Motorized Artillery 1/35

Category: Plastic assembly model

Scale: 1/35
User country: Poland

Historical period: Interwar period, World War II

Product description: The IBG 35060 model represents the Polish wz. 14/19 100mm field howitzer adapted for motorized towing. This highly detailed 1/35 scale replica faithfully recreates the real Polish Army artillery equipment, which played a significant role both in the interwar period and during the 1939 September Campaign. The model is made from high-quality plastic, allowing for the depiction of very fine details such as rivets, fittings, and the complex gun mechanics.

A short history of the howitzer: The wz. 14/19 was a modernization of the French Schneider 1914 howitzer, which Poland adapted to its own requirements after regaining independence. The modernization included rebuilding the carriage and adapting the gun for more modern use with motor vehicles. In the Second Polish Republic, 100mm guns formed the basis of heavy artillery battalions. They were actively used during the defense of Poland in 1939 and were among the heaviest types of field artillery in the country at the time.

Kit contents:

  • Plastic parts for building a detailed howitzer model and a dedicated mechanism for motorized towing
  • Detailed, step-by-step illustrated assembly instructions
  • Parts for recreating the specific motor carriage version of the howitzer, including technical details of the transportation mechanisms

Extras: The kit does not include photo-etched parts or metal barrels, but high detail accuracy is achieved through modern injection molding technology.

We recommend: This model is recommended for modelers passionate about Polish military technology, artillery collectors, as well as diorama builders recreating World War II-era scenes. It is an ideal choice for intermediate and advanced hobbyists interested in realistic historical Polish Army artillery representation.

Level of assembly difficulty: 4/5 – the model requires precision, experience in working with plastic, and a high level of modeling skills.

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
