Eduard FE1113 B-26C Invader 1/48 ICM – photo-etched parts for aircraft model

Eduard FE1113 is a high-quality set of photo-etched parts designed for the B-26C Invader model in 1:48 scale, compatible with the ICM kit. The set belongs to the renowned Eduard Zoom series and has been developed specifically to faithfully reproduce interior details of the cockpit as well as other crucial areas of the model. Thanks to the use of thin brass and, often, pre-colored elements, the photo-etched parts significantly increase the level of realism of any model, satisfying even the most demanding hobbyists.

  • Scale: 1:48 – designed for aircraft models approximately 34 cm in length
  • Category: Modeling accessories for plastic models (photo-etched parts)
  • Material: Ultra-thin, precisely cut brass with pre-colored sections using industrial printing technology
  • Manufacturer: Eduard – a renowned Czech brand famous for top-quality modeling accessories
  • Compatibility: dedicated to the ICM B-26C Invader 1/48 model

B-26C Invader is an American twin-engine light bomber and attack aircraft from World War II, widely used in the final years of the conflict as well as during the Korean War (1945–1953). The aircraft was mainly employed by the United States Air Force. The C variant was produced from 1944 and took part in combat missions over Europe and Asia—including bombing German infrastructure, supporting ground troops, and during night operations.

The Eduard FE1113 set contains several dozen precisely cut elements, allowing for exceptionally accurate reproduction of key model parts such as the instrument panel, seat belts, levers, side panels, and fine cockpit equipment details. Colored photo-etched parts enable the creation of impressive shades and textures that are impossible to achieve with traditional decals or paints—significantly enhancing the final result.

The set is recommended for experienced modelers and intermediate builders who care about a high level of detail in their models. Assembly difficulty: 4/5 – to fully utilize the potential of this set, experience working with photo-etched parts (including bending and gluing very delicate pieces) is recommended. An excellent choice both for building display replicas and for developing your own skills.

Scale

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
