RS Models 92248 Bloch MB-155 1/72 – plastic model kit

RS Models 92248 Bloch MB-155 is a high-quality plastic model kit of a fighter aircraft in the popular 1/72 scale. The kit is designed for self-assembly, providing every modeler with many hours of satisfaction from building and painting. This set offers as many as five painting options, allowing you to choose from five historical marking schemes – both French and German (Luftwaffe).

The Bloch MB.155 is a developed version of the French MB.152 fighter, designed by engineer Marcel Bloch (later Dassault). This aircraft was mainly used by France during World War II, from 1939 to 1943. It was created as a response to the rapidly changing air situation over Europe and was used in the early days of the German invasion in 1940. After the fall of France, some units were transferred to the Vichy air force, and even fell into Luftwaffe hands, where they were used for pilot training and auxiliary duties. The MB.155 featured improved flight performance over its predecessor, a longer operational range, and increased resistance to enemy aircraft armament fire.

The RS Models 92248 kit is made of very well-rendered plastic, characterized by high-quality details, fine recessed panel lines, and an accurately reproduced fuselage and wing shape. The manufacturer allows you to build the model in one of the following historical variants:

  • MB-155, No. 703, GC-1, Lt. Lefeuvre, Toulouse, June 1940
  • MB-155, No. 700, first prototype, France, December 1939
  • MB-155, No. 704, CO of 1 Escadrille, Capt. Coutaud, Agen, Algeria, June 1940
  • MB-155, No. 708, GC II/8, Vichy French Air Force, 1941
  • MB-155, JG103, Luftwaffe, France 1943

The kit includes decals for all five variants, allowing you to finish the model according to your historical or aesthetic preference. Paints and glue are not included – they must be purchased separately.

We recommend the RS Models 92248 Bloch MB-155 1/72 kit to both intermediate and advanced modelers, primarily due to the precision of manufacture and the ability to recreate lesser-known World War II aircraft variants. The build complexity is rated as level 3/5, providing a challenge but also satisfaction with the final result.
