History of the Battleship Kongo

The battleship Kongo belonged to a class of four Kongo-type ships, which were the first Japanese battleships built according to the modern "battlecruiser" concept. The ship was designed by British engineers and built in 1913 for the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN).
