Eduard 49975 L-39MS 1/48 TRUMPETER – Photo-etched Set for Model

Category: Scale Modelling Accessories – Photo-etched detail set for a 1/48 scale plastic aircraft model

Product description:

The photo-etched set Eduard 49975 L-39MS 1/48 TRUMPETER is a high-quality set of parts dedicated to precisely reproducing the cockpit details and equipment of the L-39MS aircraft (a developmental version of the L-39 Albatros) in a Trumpeter plastic model. The accessories are made from thin brass sheet, which provides excellent durability while also enabling the highest level of realism even for the finest details.
The set includes pre-painted photo-etched parts dedicated to the pilot's cockpit and unpainted parts for self-assembly of internal and external construction details.

Historical information:

L-39MS is an advanced trainer and light attack jet developed in Czechoslovakia, being an improved version of the popular L-39 Albatros. The aircraft was introduced in the early 1990s and was mainly used in Central and Eastern European countries—such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary—mainly for advanced pilot training and as a light attack aircraft. Aircraft of this series took part in training missions during modern conflicts and NATO exercises.

Service period: modern era (1990s – present)

  • Scale: 1/48
  • Dedicated for Trumpeter L-39MS model
  • Country of use: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary
  • Material: photo-etched brass (painted and unpainted parts)
  • The set allows you to accurately replicate cockpit details, seatbelts, instrument panels, side panels, and small internal and external parts
  • Does not include resin parts or metal gun barrels
  • Intended for intermediate and advanced modelers

Build difficulty level: 3/5 (due to small and thin parts requiring precision and experience with photo-etched components)

We recommend: Eduard 49975 is the perfect choice for modelers looking to increase the realism of their L-39MS 1/48 model. Ideal for dioramas and for building advanced replicas. It enables a professional finish that cannot be achieved with plastic parts from the base kit alone. The set is especially useful for aviation enthusiasts and modelers specializing in modern and Eastern European military aviation topics.

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
