PST 72021 Fuel Truck BZ-35 1/72 – 1:72 Scale Assembly Tanker Model

We offer a unique plastic model kit: the PST 72021 Fuel Truck BZ-35 in 1:72 scale. This is a faithfully reproduced miniature of the Soviet BZ-35 tanker truck, designed on the well-known ZiS-6 platform. This model is a perfect, realistic addition to World War II dioramas or collections of Red Army military equipment.

History and Use of the Original

The BZ-35, introduced into production in 1935, was a three-axle vehicle mainly used for transporting and refueling vehicles and aircraft. Manufactured in the Soviet Union, it was intensively used by the Red Army on all World War II fronts as well as during earlier and post-war exercises. BZ-35 tankers were an indispensable component in the maintenance of Soviet aviation equipment, both at field airstrips and in rear bases, enabling quick and efficient refueling. Thanks to their solid construction and versatility, they could be favorably compared to their German or American counterparts.

Product Evaluation and Recommendations

PST 72021 Fuel Truck BZ-35 1/72 is a great choice for modelers interested in military support equipment, technical vehicles, and WWII armored movement. We recommend this model for both intermediate and experienced modelers due to the wealth of details and its relatively small size, which allows for realistic placement in larger diorama projects. We rate the difficulty at 3/5. This kit will certainly satisfy collectors of Soviet military technology as well as all enthusiasts of historical modeling. It provides an excellent base for customization, weathering, and experimenting with painting techniques to achieve a maximally realistic effect.

1/72

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
