Eduard 73648 P-40K 1/72 SPECIAL HOBBY – Photo-etched detail set for aircraft model

We offer an exceptional photo-etched detail set Eduard 73648 P-40K 1/72, dedicated to the Special Hobby Curtiss P-40K model in 1/72 scale. This set is an invaluable option for any modeler wishing to faithfully replicate the details of the cockpit and external elements of this iconic World War II fighter.

The Curtiss P-40K is a development version of the well-known P-40 fighter series, used by the air forces of the USA (USAAF), Australia, Great Britain, the Soviet Union, and China during World War II (1942-1945). The aircraft was used, among others, during campaigns in North Africa, the Middle East, and the Far East by the famous "Flying Tigers" squadrons. The P-40K featured an improved engine and enhanced aerodynamics compared to earlier variants.

The Eduard 73648 set is made from precisely photo-etched brass sheet, offering extremely fine and realistically detailed structural components. The complete fret includes photo-etched seatbelts, instrument panel details, cockpit side panels, gunsights, pedals, handles, and a range of other small parts that improve the aesthetics of the model. Some components are pre-colored using Eduard Zoom technology, allowing for perfect scale and color of the cockpit interior fittings.

  • Scale: 1/72 – designed for the Special Hobby Curtiss P-40K model
  • Material: photo-etched metal (brass), colored components
  • Category: Model accessories / Photo-etched details for plastic models
  • Historical period: World War II (1942-1945), theaters: Europe, Africa, Asia
  • The set does not include glue or the model – intended for self-assembly on the Special Hobby model

Recommendation: This set is especially recommended for intermediate and advanced modelers seeking the highest quality historical details in 1/72 scale. Difficulty level: 3/5. It serves as both an excellent display addition and an opportunity to increase the realism of collector’s aircraft models.

We highly recommend this product to WWII aviation enthusiasts as well as collectors and modelers striving for the most accurate cockpit detail reproduction of the Curtiss P-40K in 1/72 scale!

Scale

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
