ICM 35660 Battle of the Marne (1914), Taxi car with French 1/35

We present a unique plastic model kit ICM 35660 Battle of the Marne (1914), Taxi car with French in 1/35 scale. This is an exceptional set that lets you recreate one of the most fascinating historical episodes of World War I – the use of Parisian taxis to transport soldiers to the front during the Battle of the Marne in September 1914.

The model faithfully depicts the Renault Type AG vehicle – the famous “Taxi de la Marne,” complete with realistic figures of French infantry soldiers. The detailed interior and body of the car, as well as the military equipment of the figures, allow you to create a dynamic diorama from the early 20th century. The set is dedicated to the historic scene when over 600 taxis from Paris rushed to rapidly transport soldiers to support the Allied front and halt the German advance on Paris. This event is one of the most recognizable symbols of French heroism and determination at the start of World War I.

  • Scale: 1/35
  • Country of use: France

The ICM 35660 product features excellent fitting of parts and crisp surface details. The set is perfect both for assembling the vehicle model alone and for building larger historical dioramas. It is an excellent choice for historical modeling enthusiasts, collectors, as well as for those recreating World War I battle scenes. Recommended difficulty level: 3/5 – suitable for intermediate and advanced modelers.

I recommend this product for its unique theme, high-quality craftsmanship, and richness of detail highly valued by history and modeling enthusiasts. The model looks great on display or as part of a larger military collection.

Scale
1/35

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
