X-35/X-35U/E Missile Model – Technical and Historical Details

The X-35 (Russian: Х-35) is a modern anti-ship missile, produced and used mainly by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and its allies. The X-35U and export X-35E variants are developments of the basic missile design, entering service between 1996 and 1997, with production and modifications continuing into the present day. This missile is designed to engage ships with displacements of up to 5,000 tons and can be launched from aircraft, helicopters, surface ships, and, thanks to the Bal version, from land-based platforms as well.

The X-35 has been used multiple times during Russian naval exercises and maneuvers. Its presence is well-documented in the Black Sea region and it has been actively exported to countries such as India and Algeria. This design is a response to well-known Western anti-ship missiles, such as the American Harpoon.
