Historical Description of the Let L-410UVP/UVP-E Aircraft

The Let L-410UVP and L-410UVP-E are Czechoslovak short takeoff and landing (STOL) turboprop aircraft manufactured by LET Kunovice since the 1970s. They were widely used by Eastern Bloc countries, and exported to more than 50 countries worldwide. They became particularly popular in the USSR, East Germany, and in northern Russia, where they served in polar aviation.

The kit presents two famous versions operated in the liveries of German Interflug and Russian Polar Aviation. Aircraft of this type were primarily used from the 1970s to the 1990s (Cold War era and modern times) for passenger and cargo transport as well as special missions—especially in harsh weather conditions and inaccessible areas of Siberia and the Arctic.

  • Recommended for intermediate and advanced modelers
