The DKM Peter Strasser, also known as "Aircraft Carrier B", was intended to be the second unit of the Zeppelin class and bear the name of Colonel Peter Strasser, commander of combat airship units during the Great War. Construction began at the Friedrich Krupp Germaniawerft shipyard in Kiel, but work was abandoned in 1940 due to conflicts between the Kriegsmarine and the Luftwaffe, as well as changing investment priorities of the Third Reich.
