Historical Description:

The Jagdpanzer IV L/70(A) was a German tank destroyer from the final period of World War II, based on the Panzer IV chassis. The "A" variant was produced by Alkett and was distinguished by the installation of a long-barreled 7.5 cm Pak 42 L/70 gun. Schürzen, or side armor skirts, were a typical solution to protect vehicles from anti-tank projectiles, especially PIAT or bazooka type weapons. The Jagdpanzer IV L/70(A) was used, among others, in battles on the Eastern Front and in the Ardennes during the winter offensive 1944/1945.
