Historical description:

The Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär (German for “Grumbler”, official designation: Sd.Kfz.166) was a German heavy assault mortar built on the Panzer IV chassis. It was designed to support infantry during urban combat, neutralizing heavily fortified resistance points. The Brummbär was equipped with a powerful 15 cm StuH 43 L/12 howitzer, capable of destroying bunkers and fortifications. Vehicles of this type were widely used during the siege of Stalingrad, the battles of Kursk and Warsaw, as well as during street fighting in Normandy and on the Western Front. The largest production run occurred between 1943–1945, with around 300 units built in total.
