Eduard 672052 GBU-10 Paveway II 1/72 – resin aircraft bomb model for advanced modellers

Eduard 672052 GBU-10 Paveway II 1/72 is a high-quality resin kit designed for modelers working in the popular 1/72 scale. The set includes two faithfully reproduced GBU-10 Paveway II laser-guided aircraft bombs. Each bomb consists of as many as fourteen precisely recreated components cast from top-grade resin, ensuring perfect reproduction of details such as stabilizing fins and panel surface features.

The GBU-10 Paveway II is an American aircraft bomb weighing 907 kg (2000 pounds), equipped with a laser guidance system. It was developed in the second half of the 1970s by Texas Instruments for the needs of the US Air Force and the US Navy. It saw intensive use during armed conflicts at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries: the Gulf War (1991), operations in the former Yugoslavia, ongoing missions in Afghanistan, and the allied mission in Iraq. GBU-10 bombs were mounted on aircraft such as the F-15E Strike Eagle, F-16, F/A-18 Hornet, and Tornado.

The Eduard 672052 product is aimed at demanding aircraft modelers who want to upgrade their miniatures with realistic armament. The kit includes a full set of decals allowing for the recreation of authentic operational markings. Thanks to the use of resin, the details are much better defined than in traditional plastic models. It does not contain photo-etched parts, which means the entire assembly is easier and quicker than with mixed media sets, while still maintaining a high level of detail.

  • Scale: 1/72
  • Country of use: United States (USA), NATO countries
  • Material: highest quality resin
  • Set includes: 2 GBU-10 bombs, 14 resin parts, decals
  • No photo-etched parts included
  • Category: resin model for advanced modelers
  • Period of use: from the late 1970s to the present day

We wholeheartedly recommend the Eduard 672052 GBU-10 Paveway II 1/72 set to intermediate and experienced aircraft modelers who wish to enhance dioramas of modern conflicts or realistically equip miniature combat aircraft. The construction difficulty is rated at 2/5 – assembly requires basic skills in working with and gluing resin models. The perfect choice for enthusiasts of detailed, modern aerial weaponry!

Scale
1/72

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
