Dragon 6736 Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.D w/5cm KwK L/60 (1/35)

Dragon 6736 Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.D w/5cm KwK L/60 is a high-quality plastic model of the German tank in the extremely popular 1/35 scale. This model represents a developmental version of the legendary German Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf.D tank, equipped with a KwK 5 cm L/60 gun, making it a unique offering for advanced modelers and collectors of armored vehicles from World War II.

The Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf.D tank was used by the German army (Wehrmacht) at the beginning of World War II, between 1939 and 1941. It most often served as the core of armored forces during the French campaign in 1940, as well as in the early stages of Operation Barbarossa in 1941. The unique modification presented in this set, featuring the 5 cm KwK L/60 gun, represents an experimental armament version, tested on the Eastern Front, making it an exceptional addition to any collection of historical armored vehicles.

The Dragon 6736 set is made of high-quality plastic and features extremely accurately reproduced details of the hull, turret, and armament. The components are sharply rendered, while the panel lines and structural details allow for a faithful recreation of the original in miniature scale. This model does not include glue or paints, giving you the freedom to arrange your own painting and apply advanced weathering techniques.

The kit includes photo-etched elements to enhance construction detail, as well as optional metal parts to increase the realism of the armament and exterior details. These additions make the model not only an excellent base for building a historical replica, but also a perfect foundation for creating professional dioramas.

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
