The MiG-15 is a legendary Soviet fighter used during the Korean War as well as during the Cold War years, from 1949 to 1970. This aircraft and its improved version, the MiG-15bis, formed the backbone of Warsaw Pact air forces and many air forces around the world. They became particularly famous for their dogfights over Korea, where they gained a reputation as an equal opponent to the American F-86 Sabre.
