Historical Description

The 75 mm M3 gun was the basic armament of the American M4 Sherman medium tanks during World War II. Used by the US Army and their allies, including the United Kingdom, Canada, France, and Polish Armed Forces in the West, it played a key role in many theaters of war from 1942 – from the sands of Tunisia, the Normandy landings, to the battles in Italy and the liberation of Western Europe. Turrets armed with the M3 gun using M34 and M34A1 mounts were standard on early and mid-production Shermans.

Product Advantages

  • Exceptional dimensional and detail accuracy – clearly superior to standard plastic kit barrels.
  • No need to remove mold seams or parting lines typical of plastic barrels.
  • Strength and durability – the metal barrel remains straight and does not deform during assembly.
  • Finely replicated soundproof mantle, detailed mounting slots compatible with M34 and M34A1 turrets.
  • Minimal number of parts – assembly and fitting are simple and intuitive.

Who is it for?

The Aber 35L-135 product is recommended for both intermediate and experienced military modelers seeking to increase the realism of their Tasca/Asuka Model Sherman replicas. An excellent choice for WWII vehicle model collectors aiming for accurate upgrades in line with historical documentation.

Assembly Difficulty: 2/5

Installing the barrel shouldn’t cause major difficulties, but caution is advised when fitting metal parts into a plastic turret.

Aber 35L-135 guarantees a professional final effect and durability – choose this product if you want your Sherman to stand out at every exhibition or in your private collection!

Scale
1/35

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
