Historical Description

The Northrop T-38A Talon is a two-seat, supersonic trainer aircraft that became the primary training tool for USAF pilots and those of numerous NATO countries. Its maiden flight took place in 1959, and it entered service in 1961. Thanks to excellent flying characteristics and ease of operation, the T-38 has been used to train pilots flying aircraft such as the F-4 Phantom II, F-15 Eagle, or F-16 Fighting Falcon. The aircraft is still in service today, remaining an important element of military aviation training systems.
