The Dragon 6725 SAS Raider 1/4 Ton 4x4 Truck in 1:35 scale is a detailed plastic model kit representing the famous light all-terrain vehicle used by the British Army’s Special Air Service (SAS) units during World War II. The original SAS Raider 1/4 Ton 4x4 Truck was based on the American Willys MB Jeep, upgraded and adapted for the extreme desert conditions and the specific operational requirements of the SAS. The vehicle was equipped with additional fuel tanks, water canisters, machine gun mounts, and special camouflage paintwork, enabling raids behind enemy lines. These vehicles were used mainly during the North African campaign between 1941 and 1943, the mid-period of World War II. They participated, among others, in attacks on airfields and German convoys in the desert.
