Historical Information

The German 2cm Flakvierling 38 was one of the most commonly used land-based anti-aircraft guns by the Wehrmacht during World War II. The Flakvierling 38 was introduced into service in 1940, and its design with four coupled 20 mm barrels allowed for a very high rate of fire, theoretically reaching up to 1800 rounds per minute. It was used both to combat airborne targets and to support infantry against light armored vehicles or enemy troops. The gun was deployed on the Eastern and Western fronts, as well as in the Balkans, effectively defending German units from Allied air attacks until the end of the war in 1945.
