The Breguet Atlantic 1 aircraft was developed in the 1960s on request from NATO countries as a specialized machine designed for anti-submarine warfare, maritime patrol, and SAR (Search and Rescue) missions. The Atlantic version remained a backbone of naval aviation for many years in France, Germany, and Italy, where these machines served from the 1970s until the early 21st century.

The Italian Atlantic 1s were particularly valued for their versatility and excellent range. They took part in many NATO operations as well as international reconnaissance and rescue missions, both during the Cold War and after, making them some of the most recognizable patrol aircraft of their era.

The Revell 03845 model offers a very good reproduction of the fuselage lines and distinctive high-aspect-ratio cantilever wings. Faithfully reproduced details of the fuselage, turbine engines, and landing gear attract attention. The kit contains decals to create the attractive "Italian Eagle" version, known for its participation in numerous international naval exercises.

The model's difficulty is rated at 3/5 – we recommend the kit for intermediate modelers who already have experience working with larger aircraft models.
