The Pz.Kpfw. III Ausf. N was a special, final version of the legendary German medium tank from World War II. Developed in 1942 and equipped with a short-barreled 7.5 cm KwK 37 L/24 gun, it was intended mainly for infantry fire support and combating lightly armored targets. It saw action on all major fronts – from the Eastern Front through North Africa to the Western Front. These tanks were used mainly between 1942 and 1944, becoming one of the symbols of German armored forces in the final years of the war.
