Special Hobby M72045 A-17/DB-8 1/72 – Upgrade Set for Northrop A-17 Aircraft Model

Special Hobby M72045 A-17/DB-8 in 1/72 scale is an excellently designed upgrade set intended specifically for models of the American Northrop A-17 (Douglas DB-8) attack aircraft. This aircraft, used primarily by the United States Army Air Forces, also became an important component of the air forces of countries such as Norway, the Netherlands, Peru, and Argentina during the interwar period and the early years of World War II.

The Northrop A-17, a significant design achievement of the 1930s, entered service in 1936. Initially used mainly as a support aircraft, it was soon displaced by more modern types of bombers and subsequently served as a trainer and in auxiliary roles in the early stages of World War II. Exported versions served as the primary combat aircraft for the air forces of smaller countries during military operations.

This Special Hobby set offers exceptionally precise details composed of high-quality resin castings and durable photo-etched parts. These allow for faithful recreation of key areas of the model – cockpit, engine, landing gear, and armament details. This greatly enhances both the realism and historical accuracy of your model, making it an outstanding choice for any collector of historical aviation focused on less mainstream military aircraft.
