Special Hobby 72499 Vickers Wellington Mk.I C "Night Raiders" 1/72 – Plastic Model Kit

The presented model Vickers Wellington Mk.I C "Night Raiders" in 1/72 scale is an advanced offering from the renowned company Special Hobby, aimed at enthusiasts of the history of British bomber aviation from the Second World War period. The Vickers Wellington was the backbone of the Royal Air Force's bombing power at the very beginning of the conflict. Its unique design, based on a geodetic lattice fuselage, provided high resistance to battle damage. The Mk.I C version was brought into active service in the RAF (United Kingdom) as early as 1939 and took part in the first night raids on targets in Germany and France, significantly contributing to the widespread strategic operations of the Allied air forces.

The Special Hobby 72499 model features precisely recreated fuselage details, gun turrets, and other characteristic elements of this medium-range bomber. The set includes:

• High-quality plastic sprues ensuring excellent adherence to the original.
• Clear cockpit, gun turret, and window parts—guaranteeing a realistic final effect.
• A rich sheet of decals with markings for RAF squadrons conducting night raids during World War II.
• A thoroughly prepared assembly instruction manual.

The kit does not include resin or metal add-ons, but the high standard of detail and part fit allows modelers to achieve an exceptionally impressive result even without extra accessories. The 1/72 scale makes the set attractive for collectors wishing to recreate the history of British bombers in a small space, as well as for creators of realistic dioramas from the first Royal Air Force operations against the Third Reich.

Recommended model: This product is particularly recommended for intermediate and advanced modelers (difficulty level 4/5). It is perfect for developing scale modeling skills in working with small details and achieving a realistic finish. It's also a highly valuable item for those interested in both the RAF's history and the technology of night bombers used in the 1939-1941 campaigns.

By choosing the Special Hobby 72499 Vickers Wellington Mk.I C "Night Raiders", you gain an accurately reproduced model, guaranteeing satisfaction both from building and displaying one of the most iconic British bombers of World War II.
