Special Hobby 72466 Aero A-12 ‘The First Record Breakers’ in 1/72 scale is an extremely detailed model replicating the legendary Czechoslovak military aviation biplane from the interwar period. The kit depicts the Aero A-12 aircraft – a development of the popular A-11 series – representing the birth of modern aviation in Central Europe.

The original aircraft was used by the Czechoslovak army in the late 1920s and early 1930s. It took part in record-breaking flights and airshows, making a name for itself as one of the first domestically designed aircraft to gain recognition and experience on the international stage. The Aero A-12 symbolizes the groundbreaking achievements of the republic's aviation in the years 1925–1935 and was used primarily as a reconnaissance-bomber during peacetime.
