The AIM-7E-2 "Sparrow III" missiles are an American medium-range, semi-active radar-guided missile developed at the turn of the 1960s and mainly used by the United States Air Force and the US Navy (US Air Force, US Navy). These models saw real-world use during the Vietnam conflict, where they were installed on platforms such as the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II and the Grumman F-14 Tomcat.
