Omask 77240 Vickers Valiant wheel bay plugs (for Airfix) 1/72 is a high-quality modeling accessory designed for precise masking of the wheel bays of the British Vickers Valiant strategic bomber in 1/72 scale, dedicated to modelers using the Airfix kit. The plugs are made from innovative, flexible foam, allowing them to fit perfectly into the wheel well shapes, providing effective protection against unwanted paint coverage when using an airbrush or spray during model painting.

Purpose and Application

• Scale: 1/72 – specially designed for the Vickers Valiant model in this scale by Airfix
• Product category: Modeling accessories, masks, and plugs
• Material: flexible foam – lightweight, reusable, does not damage the model's surface
• Manufacturer: Omask – a renowned brand specializing in masking accessories for plastic models

An Exceptional Solution for Modelers

Installing Omask plugs during the model's painting preparation process allows for effective protection of hard-to-reach areas, reducing the risk of the airbrush or spray soiling the interior parts of the wheel bays. Thanks to their construction, the foam plugs adhere precisely to the walls, eliminating the need for masking tape or other less precise solutions.

Historical Information: Vickers Valiant

The Vickers Valiant was the first strategic bomber forming part of Britain's "V-bomber force" during the Cold War period. In RAF service from 1955 to 1965, it was used for strategic missions, including during the Suez Crisis, and acted as a carrier of nuclear bombs. The 1/72 scale model allows for faithful replication of the details of this remarkable aircraft.

Recommendation and Difficulty Level

This product is especially recommended for both intermediate and advanced modelers who value precision and a clean finish in their work. Using the plugs minimizes working time, increases painting quality, and makes it easier to proceed through the stages of model assembly. Difficulty level – 1/5. An excellent choice for anyone aiming for professional painting results without the risk of accidentally flooding the wheel bays with paint.
