Fujimi 433585 Sea Way Model (EX) Series IJN Heavy Cruiser Mikuma (Battle of Midway/1942) Renewal ver. 1/700

The plastic model kit Fujimi 433585 Sea Way Model (EX) Series IJN Heavy Cruiser Mikuma (Battle of Midway/1942) Renewal ver. in 1/700 scale is an exceptional choice for advanced modelers interested in naval warfare of World War II. The model represents the legendary Japanese heavy cruiser Mikuma, which served in the Empire of Japan, in a version faithfully depicting its configuration during the pivotal Battle of Midway in 1942.

Mikuma belonged to the Mogami-class of heavy cruisers. Launched in 1934, like many Japanese vessels of that period, she was distinguished by powerful main armament and considerable speed. Mikuma took part in the attack on Pearl Harbor, and during the Battle of Midway was sunk by American aircraft. The ship’s historical significance—participation in one of the decisive battles of the Pacific—makes this model especially appealing to enthusiasts of World War II themes and the Battle of Midway.

The Fujimi Renewal version model features distinctly improved details. The kit offers carefully rendered gun turrets, superstructure, anti-aircraft gun positions, hangars, seaplane catapults, and a realistic deck. The manufacturer ensured accurate proportions and division of elements, making assembly easier and providing exceptional historical fidelity. The model is made of precisely molded high-quality plastic. The set includes assembly instructions and a decal sheet with insignia of the Imperial Japanese Navy, making the finished effect extremely realistic.
