Revell 63960 F-14D Super Tomcat Model Set 1/72

Revell 63960 F-14D Super Tomcat Model Set 1/72 is a plastic model kit representing the legendary American carrier-based fighter aircraft Grumman F-14D, the last and most advanced version of this airplane. The set is designed in the popular 1/72 scale, which allows for faithful reproduction of construction details while maintaining a convenient display size. The F-14D aircraft was used by the United States Navy, especially from 1991–2006, during the final period of the Cold War and regional conflicts such as Operation Desert Storm.

The Revell 63960 model provides not only the sprue kit itself but also essential accessories to start your modeling adventure – included are four basic paints, a brush, and glue. The model is made of high-quality plastic, ensuring proper detailing, durability, and ease of assembly. Additionally, thanks to accurate panel lines, a realistically reproduced cockpit, the ability to set the wings in swept or extended position, and a rich weapons set (AIM-54 Phoenix, AIM-7 Sparrow, AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles), this model is a faithful replica of the aircraft that operated from, among others, Nimitz-class aircraft carriers.

Among the biggest advantages of this model are the very good fit of the parts and the clear assembly instructions, which guide both beginner and intermediate modelers step by step. The product category – plastic model kit – makes it an optimal choice for those who want to combine historical reconstruction with their own creativity. Based on the number and complexity of the parts as well as the need to paint details, we rate the build difficulty at 2 on a 1-5 scale. It’s the ideal challenge for modelers with some experience and great fun for aviation enthusiasts.
