Eduard BIG49415 Buccaneer S.2B Gulf War AIRFIX 1/48

Eduard BIG49415 Buccaneer S.2B Gulf War AIRFIX 1/48 – Aircraft Model Accessory Set

The Eduard BIG49415 set is dedicated to the Buccaneer S.2B aircraft model in the popular 1/48 scale, offering a comprehensive package of accessories that enhance the model based on the AIRFIX kit. A particular advantage of this set is the faithful recreation of the Buccaneer version used by the British RAF aviation during the Gulf War (1990–1991). The Buccaneer S.2B gained distinction during the conflict by carrying out precise attacks on Iraqi strategic targets – including bridges and airfields – demonstrating outstanding effectiveness and reliability in the demanding combat conditions at the end of the Cold War.

This set belongs to the category of advanced modelling accessories designed for plastic model kits. You'll find an impressive number of details made from various materials:

• Photo-etched parts (PE) – providing exceptional detail reproduction for the cockpit, instrument panels, seat belts (STEEL), wheel bays, and external details of the aircraft.
• Painting masks – precise templates for the canopy glazing, wheels, and other parts of the model, eliminating the risk of paint bleeding and ensuring perfectly sharp lines during painting.
• Resin details – adding depth and authenticity to areas that standard plastic parts cannot reach.
• Detailed assembly instructions – guiding you step by step through the application process of all accessories.

The set is created for intermediate and advanced modellers, especially those who want their AIRFIX Buccaneer S.2B model to be reproduced with the utmost attention to historical accuracy. In terms of difficulty, we rate this set at level 4/5 – recommended for modellers experienced in working with photo-etched parts and painting masks. This is an outstanding choice for any modern military aviation enthusiast and those passionate about 21st-century military history.
