Das Werk DWF016 WWII German Tank Desant Troops 1/16 is a unique model kit containing as many as five realistic resin figures depicting German armored troops from World War II. The 1/16 scale set is designed for advanced historical modeling enthusiasts, offering outstanding detail fidelity and truly realistic poses adopted by tank crews during transportation and combat alongside armored vehicles.

For collectors and military modeling enthusiasts

Each of the five figures accurately reflects the distinctive look of Wehrmacht tank desant troops – with clearly visible uniform elements, typical personal equipment based on archival historical materials, helmets, belts, holsters, and hand-held weapons. This set is an excellent addition to German armored vehicle models (such as Panzer IV, Panther, Tiger) used by the Wehrmacht from 1939–1945.

History – German soldiers as tank desant troops

So-called “tank desant troops” were infantry soldiers transported on tank armor, ready to directly support the vehicle during battle. This tactic was often used by the German army in the later years of World War II, particularly on the Eastern Front, where rapid changes in the front line and dynamic operations required tank crews to be supported by assault infantry. Sample operations include fights in Ukraine, Poland, and within the Third Reich itself during 1944–1945.
