The T-55 "Al Faw/Enigma" is a modification of the Soviet T-55 tank carried out by the Iraqi armed forces in the 1980s and early 1990s. It stood out thanks to additional layered armor for increased protection against modern anti-tank munitions, especially during the Gulf War. The vehicle was used to defend strategic positions during this conflict and has entered history as a symbol of Iraqi military ingenuity in the face of the opponent's technological superiority.
