The Junkers Ju 87 G-2, more widely known as the "Kanonen-Vogel," was the final variant of the famous Stuka dive bomber, a highly specialized machine designed for anti-armor missions. The aircraft was equipped with powerful 37 mm anti-tank cannons and proved its effectiveness especially on the Eastern Front, notably in battles across Russia, where Luftwaffe ace Hans-Ulrich Rudel was credited with destroying hundreds of Soviet tanks using the G-2 variant.
