The Great Wall Hobby L4832 F-14A Tomcat aircraft model in 1/48 scale is a high-quality plastic model kit that faithfully replicates the legendary American carrier-based fighter. The F-14A Tomcat entered service with the United States Navy in the 1970s and became an icon of military aviation during the Cold War, gaining fame both in real operations (e.g., the Gulf of Sidra incidents in 1981 and 1989) and in popular culture (the movie “Top Gun”). It was operated mainly from American aircraft carriers until 2006.

The F-14A version was the first variant of this aircraft, equipped with its distinctive variable-sweep wings and a highly advanced (for its time) AN/AWG-9 radar system, allowing detection and engagement of targets at long range.
