Fine Molds FP50 JASDF F-15J 'Hot Scramble 1984' (Early Version) 1/72 is an advanced plastic model kit, faithfully representing the early version of the F-15J fighter used by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) in the 1980s. The model is produced in the popular 1/72 scale, which allows for a high level of detail while maintaining a convenient size for the finished miniature (approx. 27 cm in length when assembled).

The F-15J is the Japanese version of the legendary American air superiority fighter, the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle. These aircraft were produced under license by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, and Japan became one of their main users as early as the first half of the 1980s. The F-15J version differed in some avionics systems and lacked the ability to carry nuclear weapons, adapting the aircraft to the defensive requirements of the Land of the Rising Sun during the Cold War. These planes played a key role in patrolling Japanese airspace, repeatedly participating in so-called 'hot scramble' – emergency interceptions of Soviet, later Russian, and Chinese aircraft violating the Japanese air zone.

This edition of the model depicts the F-15J at the start of its service in 1984, faithfully recreating the construction details and paint schemes of the machines from this period. The Fine Molds FP50 set consists of precisely made plastic sprues, which are characterized by sharp surface details, authentic panel lines, realistic landing gear bays, and a cockpit with a detailed instrument panel. The kit also includes decals that allow you to replicate the original markings used by JASDF units in the 1980s. The model does not include resin or photo-etched accessories – so it provides a solid base both for an attractive straight-out-of-the-box build and for customization with your own detailing.
