Eduard 648964 TBF/ TBM wheels w/ smooth tire ACADEMY 1/48

Eduard 648964 TBF/ TBM wheels w/ smooth tire ACADEMY 1/48 is a professional set of modeling accessories dedicated to the Grumman TBF/TBM Avenger aircraft model by Academy in 1/48 scale. This set is aimed at modelers seeking the highest level of realism and precise reproduction of historical details of World War II aircraft.

The wheels offered by Eduard are designed for American carrier-based torpedo bombers Grumman TBF/TBM Avenger, widely used by the United States during World War II, between 1942 and 1945. These aircraft played a key role in the Pacific, taking part in the Battle of Midway and attacks on Japanese surface and ground targets. They were known for their robust design and were also used by the air forces of Great Britain, Canada, and New Zealand.

The components of the Eduard 648964 set have been precisely cast from high-quality resin. The wheels feature a smooth tread, faithfully replicating the original tires used on these planes. Thanks to advanced manufacturing techniques, every detail—from the rims to the subtle grooves and valves—has been rendered with exceptional accuracy, surpassing the standard plastic parts from the Academy base kit. The set includes a full set of wheels and precise paint masks, which significantly ease and speed up assembly and finishing work.
