The Flakpanzer IV "Wirbelwind" appeared on the battlefield in the summer of 1944, produced on the proven Panzer IV ausf G chassis. Its main purpose was to defend armored units from air attacks. The unique open-topped nine-sided turret allowed the crew of the Flakvierling 38 gun to operate freely while providing protection from small arms fire and shrapnel. The "Wirbelwind" fought on both the Western and Eastern fronts until the end of World War II.

The Voyager Model PE35408 set allows for a significant enhancement of the detail reproduction of the Dragon plastic kit—especially concerning the ventilation grilles, mounts, tools, turret details, and vehicle shields. Photo-etched parts provide exceptional sharpness and realistic scale that is difficult to achieve with traditional plastic. Each detail is designed to fit precisely the indicated version of the kit, while also offering assembly flexibility.

This product is recommended for experienced modelers (assembly difficulty level: 4/5). Working with photo-etched parts requires precision and patience, but the end results greatly increase the collector and aesthetic value of the finished model. Voyager Model PE35408 is an indispensable choice for modelers seeking perfect representation of the German Flakpanzer IV "Wirbelwind" in 1/35 scale.
