Hataka Hobby HTK-CP08 Early WW2 Royal AF (1940-41) – 3x17ml Paint Set

The Hataka Hobby HTK-CP08 Early WW2 Royal AF (1940-41) model lacquer set is a specialized product developed for precisely recreating historical paint schemes used on British RAF aircraft at the beginning of World War II. These lacquer-based paints provide optimal durability, a uniform coating, and excellent preservation of model details – they are primarily aimed at experienced modelers seeking authentic colors for models in various scales, from 1/72 to 1/24 and 1/32.

  • Historical period: World War II, years 1940–1941
  • User country: United Kingdom (Royal Air Force/RAF)
  • Application: Used for recreating paint schemes of RAF fighters and bombers, such as the Spitfire I/II, Hurricane I, and Blenheim, in the early phase of World War II. The set perfectly reproduces the so-called "Temperate Land Scheme" – the historical camouflage also known as “sand & spinach,” used during the Battle of Britain.
  • Contents: 3 colors, each 17 ml:
    • HTK-C009 Dark Earth – used until August 1941 on upper surfaces of RAF fighters, later on bombers.
    • HTK-C016 Dark Green – a universal dark green from the mid-1930s until the end of the war, essential for various camouflage patterns.
    • HTK-C026 Sky "Type S" – characteristic light green for undersides of Fighter Command aircraft from May 1940 to August 1941.
  • Material: Lacquer-based paints – provide excellent scratch resistance and perfect coverage. Airbrush application is recommended, but a fine brush can also be used for detailing.
  • Category: Model lacquer paint set for aircraft (modeling accessories).
  • For whom: Product recommended for demanding historical modelers, enthusiasts of precise replicas, and collectors reconstructing RAF aircraft from 1940–41.
  • Skill level: 4/5 – recommended for intermediate and advanced modelers, requiring appropriate surface preparation and experience with lacquer paints.

The Hataka Hobby HTK-CP08 Early WW2 Royal AF (1940-41) set allows you to faithfully reproduce the actual color schemes used during the Battle of Britain and other RAF air operations in the first phase of World War II. Authenticity and coating durability, along with a perfectly matched color range, make this set an excellent choice for realistic dioramas, competition models, and advanced modeling projects.
