Historical Background

The M18 Hellcat tank destroyer was produced by the United States between 1943–1944 and used mainly by the US Army during World War II. This vehicle stood out for its record speed among tracked armored vehicles of that era (up to 89 km/h!), making it an extremely difficult target for the enemy.
