The De Havilland Mosquito PR.XVI is an aircraft that broke stereotypes about combat machines thanks to its wooden construction—lightweight yet durable. The Mosquito PR.XVI was designed for high-altitude reconnaissance flights, and with a speed of over 600 km/h, it was practically untouchable by contemporary Luftwaffe fighters. The aircraft played a crucial role in photographing strategic targets, paving the way for Allied bombings, and supporting intelligence operations leading up to D-Day.

The Airfix 04065 set is suitable for both intermediate and experienced modellers. The assembly of the model is rated at difficulty level 3/5. Construction requires accuracy and precision in fitting parts and applying decals, which ensures satisfaction from building and an excellent final result. Highly recommended especially for military aviation enthusiasts and those building Allied equipment collections from World War II.
