Kawasaki Ki-61-Id Hien ("Tony")

This was the only Japanese World War II fighter aircraft with a liquid-cooled engine. It stood out for its elongated nose housing powerful armament: two 20 mm cannons and two 12.7 mm machine guns. The most famous use of this aircraft was in combat against the legendary American B-29 bombers over Japan during the final phase of the conflict.
