Historical and technical information

The M1070 Gun Truck originates from the USA, where it was developed in the 1980s as a military convoy support vehicle. It supported military operations during conflicts in the Middle East—the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Its armor and armament, which includes a .50 caliber machine gun, a 25 mm M242 Bushmaster automatic cannon, and additional anti-aircraft defense systems, made it a reliable protector of convoys and logistic vehicles. The M1070 also served as a platform for transporting heavy loads thanks to its powerful Caterpillar C15 engine (600 HP). Used by the US Army as well as foreign clients, it introduced a new level of military road safety in the first decades of the 21st century.
