Fujimi 600727 IJN Aircraft Carrier Kaga - Special Version (Operation MI/Battle of Midway) 1/350

The presented model, Fujimi 600727 IJN Aircraft Carrier Kaga Special Version (Operation MI/Battle of Midway) in 1/350 scale, is an extremely detailed replica of one of the most famous aircraft carriers of the Imperial Japanese Navy. This version has been specially prepared to represent the ship's configuration during Operation MI, that is, the Battle of Midway – one of the most important engagements in the Pacific during World War II.

Kaga was originally constructed as a battleship, but was converted into an aircraft carrier as a result of the Washington Naval Treaty. From 1928 to 1942, it served in the Japanese fleet, participating in the attack on Pearl Harbor and the decisive Battle of Midway in June 1942. During this battle, which marked a turning point in the Pacific War, Kaga was sunk by American carrier-based aviation.
