AK Interactive AK35005 INFANTRY SUPPORT WEAPONS DSHKM & SPG-9 1/35

AK Interactive AK35005 INFANTRY SUPPORT WEAPONS DSHKM & SPG-9 1/35 is a high-quality 1/35 scale plastic model kit offering modelers an outstanding set of Soviet infantry support weapons: the heavy machine gun DShKM 12.7 mm and the recoilless gun SPG-9 caliber 73 mm. Both weapon types were widely employed in many countries during the Cold War era and continue to be used in contemporary armed conflicts practically all over the world.

The DShKM, also known as the "Duska," was developed before World War II and, over the decades, entered the inventory of numerous armies: the Soviet Union, Warsaw Pact countries, Middle Eastern states, Africa, Asia, as well as irregular forces. It was used both on armored vehicles and as a free-standing support weapon, from World War II, through the Cold War, and up to current conflicts.

The SPG-9 is a Soviet recoilless gun, developed and introduced into service in 1962. Primarily used against armored targets and fortifications, it has proven excellent as a lightweight infantry support weapon. Since its debut, it has participated in numerous armed conflicts: the war in Afghanistan, the Middle East, Africa, the Balkans, and many other local crises up to the present day.
